Why are design projects and ideas often not taken any further or even completely discarded by creative people? The most common reasons for this seem to be time pressure, a lack of knowledge in specialized areas/tools, and communication difficulties within groups.
The students deliberately exposed themselves to these factors outside of graphic design. For example, they asked themselves: What happens if you try to fold a complicated origami swan without instructions? Isn't the unfinished and imperfect result perhaps even more exciting and interesting than a perfect swan?
The ‘unfinished’ objects inspire with unexpected, curious shapes and colors, and offer exciting design approaches that can be transferred back to graphic design. Three experimental poster series emerge that showcase the creative potential of incompletion.
