Aura generates and visualizes emotive graphics based on current weather data. Four different types of weather data are retrieved from an up-to-date weather database: temperature, humidity, wind speed and clouds. These are assigned objects that become smaller and smaller depending on the weather data. Their multiplication creates new colors and impressions, with the aim of conveying the aura of the current weather. The graphics are inspired by the American painter Mark Rothko. Known for his abstract expressionism, Rothko paved the way for color field painting. The term ‘aura’ refers to a study of the emotional visualization of weather data.
