We meet on the street, in the park, at kiosks, and on the internet—a network concept built on the basic idea of being open to all and which promised to promote communication and community development in a revolutionary way. Just a few years after its creation, it became clear that digital spaces offered fertile ground for commercialization. Today, it is hard to imagine everyday life without networks and platforms. We create free accounts and give our data to operators in return. CPCS.live aims to show how we can build a free and public platform. Whenever private economic interests are prioritized over communal cooperation, we refuse to let the technology be taken away from us and instead help to build it ourselves.
