Design is never objective or neutral. Designers always work with personal biases, be it their own background, social circumstances, or education. In addition, design is created in social, technological, economic, and political contexts and is therefore subject to constant change and expansion. Designers work in interaction with these developments. Among them, those who push the boundaries of design, (further) develop their working methods, intensively analyze design practice and their own role—in other words, develop an attitude. As designers, we asked ourselves how exactly attitude can be expressed and defined in the design context.
