In the project 1% Disorder, students analysed the computer-generated art of Manfred Mohr and Vera Molnár. While Mohr focuses on algorithms and mathematics, random disorder also plays an important role in Molnár's work. Starting from a six-axis diagram, they used a cube to determine shapes, which were then inserted into a square grid using mathematical methods similar to those of Manfred Mohr: Rotation, clipping, set theory, graph theory. And like Vera Molnár, the students allowed themselves to create a disorder of 1%. A multitude of patterns emerged from the experiment to explore the possibilities of a form and a method.
