The • • • Magazine is an automatically generated magazine with individual issues that can be created at the touch of a button. During this process, image and text content is retrieved online and combined according to specific parameters to create a monothematic issue on a randomly selected topic. At the end of the process, the magazine is printed and can be folded, stapled, and taken away. Each double-page spread of the magazine is structured according to a specific system, which the reader discovers through viewing and comparing multiple issues. The recontextualization of the unpredictable text and image elements becomes a design strategy with an uncertain outcome, calling into question the role of the designer.
