After the Dummy editorial team withdrew from the joint project, the students took it upon themselves to “raise the child.” They took over not only the photo series, illustrations, and design, but also the entire editorial work: children’s rooms across Germany were portrayed; young gay men from diverse cultural backgrounds spoke about their relationships with their families; students and teachers discussed the Waldorf school model; and a child psychologist explained how children learn to distinguish between good and evil.
The result is a freshly and independently designed magazine on the theme of children, combining a wide range of thoughtfully crafted contributions — essays, interviews, photo series, and illustrations.
