Many designers do not see their creative work as political. However, every designer positions themselves—consciously or unconsciously. Design influences our thinking, our actions, and our knowledge. It is determined by the political and determines the political. With what we create as designers, we simultaneously represent and shape the values of our society and create ideas about our world. In doing so, diverse and multifaceted realities can be made visible. However, design can also make access to knowledge and information harder or easier, and enable or prevent support and self-empowerment. Let’s assume our social responsibility!
