We are delighted to welcome graphic designer and type designer Michal Sahar. As part of Stilvorlagen #5 Comments on Our Time, she talks about her committed efforts to preserve Hebrew typographic culture and the challenges of designing typefaces in a heterogeneous, multilingual environment where more than three languages coexist.
In preparation for her lecture, we explore the forms and structures of Hebrew letters. Inspired by our meticulous research, we create a spatial typographic installation in the foyer of the Armgartstrasse faculty—an equally detailed and thoughtful translation of our study that sets the stage perfectly for an evening with Michal.
