Reduce, alienate, assemble, comment! Design a typographic-graphic poster as a commentary on our time—with ten rules:
→ Work with your hands: copy, assemble, and stencil!
→ Look for images and text material on your theme and reduce them.
→ Start by making small sketches and then quickly move on to a larger format.
→ Copy, assemble, and collage the material immediately.
→ Write down ten adjectives that come to mind when you think about this topic: e.g., dynamic, loud, versatile, energetic, performative...
→ Choose three words and combine them with the word “surprising.”
→ Let these words guide your design.
→ Work intuitively: let the material inspire you.
→ Always respond to what you create!
→ Develop the poster as you work!
Caroline Ewert and Laura Holst’s poster was presented in a public space at the poster competition Mut zur Wut (Courage to Rage).
